 Both Robert Coopman and Victor Alessandro are experienced
internationally with multiple companies on multiple
continents. While with HEB, Robert was actively involved
in developing and opening the first HEB stores in Monterrey,
Mexico. Pharmacies, public access laboratory testing
facilities and expanded over the counter health aid
assortments were the focus of Robert’s activity.
As a consultant, Robert has worked with senior management
of Alliance UniChem headquartered in London, England.
Alliance is Western and Eastern Europe’s largest
pharmaceutical wholesaler as well as the owner/operator
of approximately 1000 drug stores located principally
in the U. K., Italy and Switzerland. The most notable
of the Alliance chain pharmacy brands is Moss Chemists
of the U.K.
As well as business strategy consulting, he has contributed
to Corporate Executive Conferences and Key Customer
Conferences in Rapallo, Italy, Scottsdale, Arizona,
San Juan, Puerto Rico
and Borneo.
On the South American continent Robert is engaged with
the Farmacias SAAS unit of Cobeca, headquartered in
Maracaibo, Venezuela. Cobeca holds a dominant market
share in pharmaceutical distribution in Venezuela while
Farmacias SAAS is a group of commonly branded community
pharmacies franchised to independent owners, now totaling
some 130 units.
Together, Robert and Victor are the U.S. Drug Store
consultants leading the development of SuperPharm Ltd.,
based in Port of Spain, Trinidad, West Indies. SuperPharm
is a green field development in which Robert and Victor
have taken the project from proof of concept through
all developmental stages including a corporate support
center, distribution center and multiple store designs
and openings.
Victor Alessandro has an ongoing consulting relationship
with Shell Global Lubricants, a unit of Royal Dutch
Shell based in the Netherlands. Victor continues to
be instrumental in developing category management and
retailing expertise with Shell Global Lubricants. This
activity has included training seminars on four continents
outside of North America.
